I have no shame in admitting that I’m a snacker. When I’m doing work at the office, I need to snack. When I’m finishing my homework at school, I need a snack. When I’m blogging, you’ve guess it, I need a snack! For day 6 of The 12 Days of Blog-mas, I’ve decided to round up my 3 favorite snacks. Let’s get on with snack number 1…
Homemade hummus
I’m a firm believer that hummus goes with anything savoury. Since I consume a lot of hummus on a weekly basis, I like saving money and making it from scratch. My boyfriend has recently been experimenting with different hummus recipes, but I prefer to stick with plain ol’ traditional hummus! The recipe that I like using is from Jamie Oliver and it’s the best one I’ve tried so far. To check it out, click here.
Frozen grapes
If you haven’t yet tried frozen grapes, you’re seriously missing out! Not only are they easy to make (just pop them in the freezer), you don’t have to worry about the grapes going bad. Instead of throwing the grapes in a freezer bag, place them on a baking sheet lined with wax or parchment paper and then pop the entire baking sheet in the oven. This will prevent the grapes from freezing together and you won’t have to pick away at a grape ice block. Obviously you can freeze any type of fruit that you want, but I would suggest trying grapes first!
Stove top popcorn
I love popcorn and that’s definitely not a secret. Last month I filmed a YouTube video on the healthy stove top popcorn recipe that I use. I like to control the amount of salt, oil and butter that’s in my popcorn, so making it myself on the stove is my method of choice. To see the exact recipe that I use, check out my YouTube video!
These 3 snacks are my all time favorites, but I also enjoy munching on edamame, Popchips, and pistachio nuts. What are your favorite snacks? Let me know in the comment section down below or on Twitter @pandamoniumpink.
Keep smiling,
Kels
